Job summary

Riverside in Manhattan is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. On-site interview process with the Director of Rehab and facility leadership supports a collaborative work environment one block from the subway.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license and registration in the state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as per state practice act.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation (evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, discharge summaries).
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status, function, and rehabilitation potential.
• Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver OT interventions focused on ADL performance, safety, and return to prior function.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation on time.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians, and social work for patient-centered care.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students as required.
