Job summary

Lebanonrehabilitation in Seattle is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess residents, determine rehabilitation potential and establish treatment goals under physician direction.

You will document patient progress, supervise COTAs and rehab aides, coordinate with families and the interdisciplinary team, and support a high standard of professional and compassionate care in a long-term care setting.

This role requires punctuality, accurate record-keeping and adherence to state practice acts.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of occupational therapy.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes patients' functionality by screening and treating residents referred for therapy.
• Adheres to MDS procedures and effective care planning.
• Thoroughly documents progress and communicates patient status to patients, families and other professionals.
• Refers patients for treatment to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) as appropriate.
• Provides consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs in the facility.
• Directs COTA(s) and Rehab Aide(s) to use resources efficiently and develop clinical skills in line with State Practice Acts, OBRA.
