Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s/Doctorate preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in data entry and computer skills for health records.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and student staff.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with physicians, nurses, families.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab-related meetings.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per regulations.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise and safety.
• Assist with equipment needs to support independence in ADLs.
