Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient team. The OT delivers quality, patient-centered services, including examinations and treatment plan development, with supervision of staff as needed.

Required is a graduate of an accredited OT program; Virginia licensure or eligibility; CPR certification. Inpatient rehab experience is preferred and compensation ranges per hour reflect market standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program is required.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in OT and/or specialty practice certification preferred.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure is required.
• Healthcare professional CPR certification required.
• Experience in an inpatient rehab setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT services including patient examination (ages 12+).
• Develops and administers treatment plans.
• Documents and communicates with team members.
• Provides clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel.
• Instructs therapy staff, students, other team members, patients and caregivers.
• May rotate through clinical areas.

Compensation

• $34.50 - $47.42 per hour
• This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
