Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Rehab Acute on a full-time basis. The position supports a dynamic Rehab Therapy Services team on campus.

The role requires clinical expertise, completion of an accredited OT program, and licensure. You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and promote safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the program.

Responsibilities

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients.
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program designed to return patients to their maximum function.
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes.
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization.

Shift:

Position Summary: Occupational Therapist at Johns Hopkins Medicine located on Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus

The Occupational Therapist specializing in Rehab Acute

Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization

Work Experience

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program

Education

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required

Salary Range:

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
