Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Rehab Therapy Services team at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus in Baltimore. The role focuses on rehab acute care with supervision by the Team Coordinator and Clinical Specialist, working within a multidisciplinary team to restore patients to their highest level of function.

The ideal candidate has an OT degree and state licensure, with CPR certification and at least one year of OT experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess occupational limitations and medical condition of patients.
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program to return patients to maximum function.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Promotes improvements in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
• Aligns daily work with the goals of the organization.

At Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, you will have access to the entire Johns Hopkins networkof specialists. Housing Maryland’s only regional burn center, a designated level II trauma center and a pediatric center for emergencycare, Johns Hopkins Bayview is well-prepared to provide the care necessary for the most complex cases, as well quality routine and specialty care.

Shift:Full-time - 40 hours per week - 1 - 2 Holidays a year

Position Summary: Occupational Therapist at Johns Hopkins Medicine located on Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus

TheOccupational Therapistspecializing in Rehab Acute

Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization

Work Experience:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program

Education:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required
