Job summary

Advanvced Home Health Services seeks an Occupational Therapist to implement standards of care for OT services in Oceanside and surrounding cities. The OT will coordinate with the Rehab Director, evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and supervise assistants.

The role includes patient education, home safety assessments, and facilitating rehabilitation goals within the home health setting. Valid OT license and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the AMA/AOTA.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association (NBCOT).
• Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver with a vehicle in good working order and valid insurance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s functional status and home environment to plan care.
• Develops treatment programs and communicates plans to physicians and staff.
• May perform work capacity evaluations and refer to vocational training.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in line with policy and regulations.
• Instructs patients and families in treatment regimes and adaptive equipment use.
