Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support within the therapy department. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, supervise assistants, and document care in accordance with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the rehab team to optimize functional outcomes, manage ADL training, and support a positive facility culture through professional practice and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in OT.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop effective treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise OT assistants and aides in direct patient care.
• Document services in medical records and ensure billing consistency.
• Collaborate with rehab team and discharge planners; communicate patient progress.
