Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Experience in adult neurological, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients to restore independence.
• Develops treatment plans and obtains physician approvals.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides.
• Documents services in the medical record per regulatory requirements.
• Communicates with families, physicians, and health team members.
• Educates families or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
• Interprets patient needs and progress for care planning.
• Assesses and provides ADL equipment to facilitate independence.
