Job summary

Akron Children's in Belpre, OH is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, treat, and educate patients with physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities. This full-time, day-shift role is onsite in Belpre.

The candidate must have an OT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral), NBCOT certification, and current Ohio licensure, with 3–5 years of experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Office is required. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available and relocation may be possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Bachelor's/ Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Current Ohio state licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Performs documentation and patient education in line with division protocols.
• Supervises COTA/L, volunteers, or students as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (taxable) Available
Full-time, 40 Hours/week
Monday - Friday, Days (Shifts between hours of 7:30AM -6:30PM)
Onsite Belpre, OH (Relocation may be available)

Summary

The Occupational Therapist utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate/assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.
• Communicates effectively with patient, family members, and team members as needed.
• Performs appropriate and necessary documentation and patient/family education, per division protocols.
• Supervises COTA/L, volunteer, or student per OT regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise

• Experience in occupational therapy is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education And Experience

• Education: Applicants must have a Bachelor\'s degree, Master\'s degree, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Certification: Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure is required.
• Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising: None.
