Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital North Canton is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate, treat, and support patients with physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities. Full-time, days schedule on-site.

The role requires collaboration with families and care teams, thorough documentation, and supervision of COTA/L, volunteers, or students per OT regulations. A Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral degree in OT, NBCOT certification, and Ohio license are required.

Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate/assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.

Responsibilities

1. Utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.
2. Communicates effectively with patient, family members, and team members as needed.
3. Performs appropriate and necessary documentation and patient/family education, per division protocols.
4. Supervises COTA/L, volunteer, or student per OT regulations.
5. Other duties as required.

1. Experience in occupational therapy is required.

3. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Education and Experience

1. Education: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
2. Certification: Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure is required.
3. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 3 years is preferred.
4. Years of experience supervising: None.
