Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in California. The OTA will administer treatments, conduct assessments, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ mobility and functional goals.

Eligible candidates may have an associate degree in OT, California OT Assistant license, and one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcomed. A sign-on bonus and PTO are offered, with referral bonuses available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• CA license as OT Assistant required or in-state certification.
• New graduates welcome; one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements of muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per care plan and participates in the interdisciplinary team.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Conducts home assessments when appropriate to ensure safe discharge alongside OT/PT.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
