Job summary

Vale Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our caring team in California. Salaries range from $85,280 to $104,000 per year, with a sign-on bonus available and a favorable PTO/referral bonus program.

The OTA will work within a defined plan of care, perform tests and measurements, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ functional recovery and safe discharges.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy is required/preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
