Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in California. The OTA will administer therapy within scope, perform tests for strength and mobility, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to support resident discharge planning.

The role requires an OTA license in California, an associate degree in OT, and 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcomed. Sign-on bonus, PTO, and referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• California license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge with OT/PT as needed.

ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
