Job summary

Vale Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA). This role offers a salary range of $85,280 to $104,000 with PRN/on-call duties. A sign-on bonus is available. The facility provides PTO, referral bonuses, and a supportive work environment, in California.

The OTA will administer treatments, perform strength and mobility tests, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and support patient discharge planning under a plan of care. California license required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

Education

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy

One year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.

Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
