Inglewood Healthcare Center in California is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide patient care under an established plan of care.

The OTA will assess and treat patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and assist with discharge planning. Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000 per year, with a sign-on bonus and benefits including PTO and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.

Responsabilités

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per Care plan and participates in interdisciplinary team.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments and maintains confidentiality of records.
• Conducts home assessments as appropriate with OT/PT involvement.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
