Job summary

Inglewood Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our compassionate team. The OTA will administer treatments, conduct tests of strength and range of motion, and support residents with adaptive tools as part of an interdisciplinary care plan.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and California licensure; one year of clinical experience preferred, new grads welcome. The role offers a sign-on bonus and PTO, plus referral bonuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Delivers direct clinical treatment per care plan and participates in an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
