Job summary

Hayward Hills Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join a supportive team focused on resident care and safety. The OTA will deliver treatment within the plan of care and work with an interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy, California licensure, and may have 1 year of clinical experience; new grads are welcome to apply. PTO and referral bonuses are included as benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment according to an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.

ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
