Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward in Hayward, CA is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs. You will work under established plans of care, providing treatment and assessments.

This position requires an OTA license in California, an associate degree, and at least some clinical experience (new grads welcome). The facility offers a team-based environment with PTO and referral bonuses; sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
