Job summary

Creekside Healthcare Center in California is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support resident care in a supportive team environment. You will administer treatments, perform strength and ROM assessments, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to implement an individualized plan of care.

Required: an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and an active California OTA license; one year of clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs muscle strength, ROM, and mobility tests.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per plan of care.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to support safe discharge with OT/PT.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
