Job summary

Dover Health seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support patients daily, promoting physical, personal, and emotional well-being toward max self-care and independence. You will work with the Dover Health team to return patients to their best level of function.

Responsibilities include supervising therapists, updating care plans, educating patients and families, and coordinating care across settings. Excellent communication, collaboration, and commitment to values are essential.

Qualifications

Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) of practice.
Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
Current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current liability auto insurance.
Ability to work well with others and take direction from management, as well as take initiative.
Self-motivated to accomplish identified goals with accountability for results.
Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR systems if applicable.

Responsibilities

Supervision of Occupational therapists, within practice standards and laws.
Observe, record, and report patient reactions and changes to supervising staff.
Collaborate with OT in updating plan of care and coordinating interprofessional care.
Educate patients and families about home care, safety, and assistive devices.
Participate in care coordination and discharge planning activities.
Engage in activities that promote patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Pursue professional development and lifelong learning.
