Purpose of the Position

This position involves treating and documenting care for residents with impaired ability to perform independently due to disease, under the supervision of an occupational therapist. The role includes participating in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Follow physicians’ orders and the directives of the occupational therapist.
2. Provide treatments to help residents maintain or improve their functional abilities.
3. Use preventive measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents' functions.
4. Maintain accurate reports for regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
5. Observe infection control procedures and ensure resident safety.
6. Work cooperatively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
7. Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and Residents' Rights policies.
8. Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct and policies on discrimination and harassment.
9. Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of all information.
10. Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality.
11. Perform other duties as assigned in a professional and timely manner.
12. Support a respectful work environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
