We are currently recruiting an Occupational Therapist Aide to join our team.

Purpose of this position

This position involves treating and documenting care for residents with impaired ability to perform independently due to disease, under the supervision of an occupational therapist. The role includes participating in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Follow physicians' orders and the directions of the occupational therapist.
  2. Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest possible level of function within their physical abilities.
  3. Implement preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents' function.
  4. Maintain accurate resident reports in compliance with regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
  5. Observe infection control procedures and ensure resident safety.
  6. Work cooperatively with residents, their representatives, staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  7. Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and guidelines in the employees' handbook.
  8. Adhere to Residents' Rights policies and the Corporate Compliance Program.
  9. Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of all information.
  10. Present a professional appearance and maintain punctuality and dependability.
  11. Perform duties effectively, timely, and professionally, supporting and respecting colleagues.
  12. Accept and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to analyze medical information, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. An Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required.
