Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Occupational Therapy team. The role provides patient-focused therapy for diverse populations, with daily 8-hour shifts in a full-time daytime schedule.
The successful candidate will hold a COTA license, have experience or familiarity with industrial rehab concepts, and demonstrate strong documentation and collaboration with the supervising OTR.

Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Under the supervision of the OTR, the COTA implements treatment programs for patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial dysfunction. The individual in this position is required to appropriately interact with all patients regardless of age or culture and to adhere to the Beaumont customer service standards. Documents patient treatment according to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards of documentation. Submits charges for services provided. Maintains verbal, electronic and written communication with treatment team, including supervising OTR for purposes of goal setting, active problem-solving, treatment and discharge planning. Communicates observations of patient’s conditions and reactions to treatment.
