Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our home care team in Marshfield, MA. Earn $37–$45 per visit with flexible scheduling and mileage/licensure reimbursement.

You will provide skilled OT services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed OT, promoting independence and safety. Minimum one year of clinical experience and afternoon availability are required.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts COTA license is required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT interventions in patients' homes under OT supervision.
• Train patients in daily living activities and IADLs.
• Recommending and training in adaptive equipment under supervision.
• Monitor progress and report changes to supervising OT.
• Collaborate with care team including PTs, nurses, SLPs and physicians.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation.

Your Role as a Home Care Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Recommending and training patients in the use of appropriate adaptive equipment under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, physical therapists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
