Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) seeks a Per Diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy in patients' homes in Littleton, MA. Earn up to $160 per visit with flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ADL/IADL training and functional interventions.
• Assess home environments and recommend safety modifications and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with care team including physicians and therapists.
• Complete timely electronic documentation.

Your Role as a Home Care Occupational Therapist (OT):

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients, caregivers, and their care teams to improve independence, functional abilities, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
• Providing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional independence
• Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assessing patients’ home environments and recommending appropriate safety modifications and adaptive equipment
• Providing education and training to patients and caregivers
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
• Collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
