Job summary

Proficio Therapy Services in California is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our mission-driven team delivering pediatric therapies to children and families across our clinics. You will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy programs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should hold NBCOT certification and a California OT license (CBOT) with at least 1 year of pediatric clinical experience; a flexible, patient-focused approach is

• Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Document findings and manage discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track progress for each child.
• Develop and implement home programs with perceptual, motor, and sensory strategies.
• Provide guidance and training to interns and volunteers in the OT program.

Qualifications

• Certification and/or Registration: Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
  
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a pediatric therapy setting

Key Responsibilities & Performance Expectations

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, document findings, and manage discharge planning
  
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough treatment documentation and goal tracking for each child
  
• Develop and implement home programs as needed, incorporating perceptual, motor, and sensory-based strategies
  
• Provide guidance, training, and support to interns and volunteers within the occupational therapy program
  
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings, with opportunities to lead or present training sessions
  

Physical Demands

• Moderate physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs
• Regular standing and walking throughout the workday
• Occasional lifting of supplies or equipment
• Periodic reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and fine motor tasks requiring manual dexterity and mobility
