Applicants must hold a California OT license with AOTA registration, a CPR certificate, and travel ability. The position offers per diem compensation of $130 per visit, with potential for full-time conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by national bodies.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California Occupational Therapy license.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable insured vehicle and ability to travel to patient homes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments for safety.
• Develop personalized OT treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team.
• Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills affected by illness or injury.
• Recommend and instruct patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate with the broader care team to ensure patient-centered care.
• Educate family members and caregivers on the patient’s treatment approach.
• Supervise OT assistants and oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service.
• Support discharge planning as patients transition out of home health care.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.
