Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our rehab team in a skilled nursing setting. You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and help improve mobility and independence.

New graduates are welcome. California OT license and a Bachelor’s in OT are required. CPR may be required by licensure; familiarity with Net Health or PointClickCare is a plus. Per diem schedule with competitive pay and collaborative team support.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, ADLs, and independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise COTAs, aides, and students.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, fall prevention, adaptive equipment, and home programs.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans


• Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, ADLs, and independence


• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and the interdisciplinary team


• Supervise COTAs, aides, and students


• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings


• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, fall prevention, adaptive equipment, and home programs


• Recommend assistive devices and adaptive equipment


• Maintain timely and compliant documentation
  
• Provide staff education and in-services


• Support quality improvement and restorative nursing programs

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist in California
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy required

Experience in skilled nursing preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!
