Job summary

The Pines at Placerville in California is seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team. You will provide direct resident treatment under OT supervision and help residents improve independence in daily living and mobility, while ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Current California COTA License in good standing.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Net Health and PointClickCare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident treatment under the supervision of the OT.
• Help residents improve independence with daily living activities and mobility.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation.
• Assist with restorative nursing programs and staff education.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, home programs, and fall prevention.
• Recommend adaptive equipment to support independence.
• Maintain a safe and positive treatment environment.
• Support quality improvement and rehab initiatives.
