Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient rehabilitation while supporting acute care needs. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and work within a collaborative, patient-centered team.

This role offers starting pay at $32+ per hour, with higher pay for experience and a $14,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. New graduates are encouraged to apply and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT Practitioner credentials (OTR) and NBCOT certification.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Michigan licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate patients and families on goals and home programs.
• Supervise OTAs, aides, and students.
• Document progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in program development and process improvement.
• Serve as case manager for assigned patients when appropriate.

Starting at $32+/hour (Higher based on experience)

$14,000 Sign-On Bonus with 2-Year Commitment

Are you an Occupational Therapist looking to join a collaborative, patient-focused team with opportunities to grow your clinical skills? MyMichigan Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide primarily outpatient rehabilitation services while supporting acute care patients as needed.

What You'll Do

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their highest level of function and independence.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs
• Supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), aides, and students
• Documenting patient progress and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Participating in program development, process improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Serving as a case manager for assigned patients when appropriate

• Primarily Outpatient Rehabilitation
• Occasional Acute Care Coverage
• Diverse orthopedic, neurological, developmental, cognitive, and functional rehabilitation caseloads

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR) credentials
• NBCOT Certification
• Ability to obtain/maintain Michigan licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Outpatient Occupational Therapy experience
• 1+ year of clinical experience
• AOTA Membership
• BLS Certification (required within 1 month of hire)
