Post RGV in McAllen, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program. This is a full-time outpatient role focused on geriatric care.

You will screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans, deliver skilled interventions, and collaborate with families and care teams. An OT license is required; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions to patients in accordance with standards.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries ensuring regulatory and clinical compliance.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – FULL TIME -POST RGV – Outpatient Therapy Clinic–McAllen, TX

Post RGV in Mcallen, TX is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking an Outpatient full time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications:

Occupational Therapist license is required.
