Golden Acres Living and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join our rehab program and deliver patient-centered care.

You will conduct screenings, develop care plans, and provide rehabilitative treatments, while coordinating with families and care teams to ensure smooth discharge planning and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other providers.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries in line with regulatory and clinical requirements.

OUTPATIENT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - FULL TIME - GOLDEN ACRES - DALLAS, TX

Golden Acres Living and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist for our rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
