Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy in Lockport, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team focused on pediatric care. You will assess clients, implement interventions to develop fine motor, cognition, language, self-care and regulation, and guide families to reinforce treatment at home.

Qualified applicants have a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in OT, NBCOT, and IL license (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• OT licensure or licensure eligibility in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for adaptations and use of equipment as needed.
• Identify and implement interventions to develop fine motor, cognition, language, self-care, and regulation.
• Provide guidance to families to support treatment practices at home.

What You’ll Do:

• Assess clients for adaptations and use of special equipment when necessary
• Identify and implement therapeutic interventions that help develop client’s fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self care skills, regulation, and more
• Provide support and guidance to the clients’ family enabling them to foster the behaviors and practices implemented in treatment

Qualifications

• What We’re Looking For: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Successfully pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
