Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks an Occupational Therapist to join the Lakeville, Minnesota team. The OT will deliver services to support students’ academic participation and daily functional skills in a school setting, with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM.

Local pay is $59.74 per hour (W2). The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and staff to foster student success. Qualified candidates will hold an active MN OT license, have at least 1 year of OT experience, and

• Active MN OT license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year OT experience.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) from licensing board if required.
• Current required certifications (e.g., BLS, immunization records).

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to support students’ participation and daily skills.
• Assess fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom activities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide interventions to improve coordination, motor skills, independence, and participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support development and learning outcomes.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to improve student success.
• Monitor and document progress and maintain therapy records.
• Participate in meetings and individualized education planning.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to support students’ academic participation and daily functional skills.
• Assess students’ abilities related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom activities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide interventions to improve coordination, motor skills, independence, and participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development and learning outcomes.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to improve student success.
• Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
• Participate in student support meetings, evaluations, and individualized education planning.
• Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and applicable professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted MN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a OT
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,.....)
