Job summary

St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO invites an Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team.

You will work one-on-one with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions to improve ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper-extremity function in a fast-paced setting. Role is PRN/Per Diem with Day shifts and 8-hour hours (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function.
• Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
• Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
• Document care and monitor progress in EMR (Epic).
• Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Current state OT certification/license

Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Location: St. Joseph Medical Center- Kansas City, MO
