Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapist for North Kansas City Hospital's Acute Rehab Unit. The OT will join a fast-paced team of over 25 FT therapists and contribute to patient recovery through targeted therapy plans and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires an accredited OT degree, state license, active CPR certification, and strong organizational and communication skills. Working hours are full-time days on-site with a supportive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan to improve patients' well-being through exercise and prosthetics as appropriate.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team; instruct family or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable professional standards and laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists!

What you will do in this role

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
