Job summary

Hayward Hills Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns. The role includes administering tests, planning care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold an OT degree and CA licensure; new graduates are welcome. A sign-on bonus is offered, along with PTO and referral bonuses. This is a full, on-site OT opportunity in Hayward, CA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BSc, MSc or Doctorate).
• CA license to practice Occupational Therapy in good standing.
• New graduates welcome; 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Assesses muscle strength, ROM, coordination and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Collaborates within an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Offers adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains patient record confidentiality and safety.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
