Job summary

Skyline Healthcare Center-San Jose is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions within an interdisciplinary team. The role includes planning and administering therapy, interpreting tests, and ensuring safe patient discharge.

Requirements include a Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a California OT license; 1 year of clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in California.
• One year of clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
