Bennett Hills Rehabilitation & Care Center in Gooding, ID is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time role. Join our in-house therapy team and contribute to patient-centered care with leadership support and competitive compensation.

You will work in an environment that emphasizes clinical development, program development, and mentorship opportunities while delivering high-quality OT services to residents.

Qualifications

• OT licensure required and active in good standing.
• Open to applicants of all experience levels.
• Experience in therapy rehabilitation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders and develop appropriate care plans.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment to patients.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan (ADL retraining, activities, exercises, modalities).
• Assess progress and adjust treatments in the clinical record.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and provide discharge summaries as required.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team regarding patient progress and plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively screens/evaluates patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assesses patient’s progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes.Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the physical disorders.
• Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
