Job summary

Avir Trilogy at Avir at La Hacienda in Eagle Pass, Texas is actively interviewing for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT). You will provide skilled OT services to residents to improve independence and quality of life.

Join our in-house therapy team and interdisciplinary care crew to develop individualized plans, document care thoroughly, and help residents maintain function. Texas license required; experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license in good standing.
• Long-term care/geriatric experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Net Health documentation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and identify functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Address ADLs, IADLs, mobility, and functional independence.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.

What You'll Do

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you'll provide skilled occupational therapy services designed to help residents improve their independence, safety, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating residents and identifying functional needs
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), mobility, and functional independence
• Monitoring resident progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Recommending adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers
• Collaborating with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Completing timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participating in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings

What We're Looking For

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• License in good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, geriatric, or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Net Health documentation experience is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Passion for helping residents maintain or improve their independence and quality of life
