Avir Trilogy at Lomaland in El Paso, Texas is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT to deliver skilled therapy and help residents achieve greater independence.

Qualifications

• Active Texas COTA license is required.
• License must be in good standing with the relevant boards.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings is a plus.
• Experience with Net Health is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapy under OT supervision to improve residents' independence and daily living skills.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and functional activities.
• Implement treatment plans under supervision of the OT and monitor progress.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation and communicate progress to the supervising OT.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary care team to deliver resident-centered care.

What You'll Do

As a COTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve their independence, daily living skills, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized therapeutic interventions
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living and functional activities
• Implementing treatment plans under the direction of the supervising OT
• Monitoring and reporting resident progress and response to treatment
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques
• Completing timely and accurate documentation
• Communicating resident progress and concerns to the supervising OT
• Collaborating with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
• Providing compassionate, resident-centered care

What We're Looking For

• Active Texas COTA license
• License in good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric experience preferred, but not required
• Net Health experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Passion for helping residents achieve their highest level of independence
