Job summary

Our client, a large publicly owned hospital in California, is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist. The role offers a highly competitive pay range, benefits package including pet insurance, PTO, relocation assistance, a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $20,000 loan repayment.

Qualifications

• CA OT license required.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to evaluate patient deficits without formal testing when needed.

Responsibilities

• Administers standard formal evaluations as appropriate based on patient age, diagnosis, and chart review/ interviews.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner with progress towards goals.
• Plans individualized treatment programs following physician orders.
• Performs therapy procedures as indicated and safely.
• Trains team members regarding patients' functional needs.
• Communicates changes in treatment plan with physician.
• Trains patient/family on care needs during daily activities.
• Secures equipment for patients and adjusts fittings as needed.
• Supervises aides and assistants in assigned tasks.
• Participates in continuing education and in-services.
• Meets productivity requirements and assists with orientation of new staff.
• Ensures age-appropriate services across developmental levels.

Our client is a large publicly owned Hospital in California, 600+ bed. They are looking for a new Home Health Occupational Therapist. Qualifications:

• CA Occupational Therapist license
• BLS

• Administers standard formal evaluations as appropriate based on factors such as patient age, diagnosis, and clinical information from chart review and/or patient/family interview. Able to evaluate patient deficits without formal measures when patient is unable to participate with formal testing.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner, with clear indications of progress towards functional goals.
• Plans individual treatment program following physician’s orders.
• Performs therapy treatment procedures as indicated and safely.
• Provides instruction to team regarding patients functional needs as needed.
• Contacts physician for changes in treatment plan and program.
• Trains patient and/or patient’s family/caregiver regarding patients care need during functional daily activities.
• Secures equipment for patients use in all settings, and makes necessary fitting adjustments.
• Supervises aides and assistants in completion of assigned tasks.
• Participates in continuing education to remain current in new treatment procedures, active in providing in-services to department staff.
• Meets/exceeds productivity requirement.
• Assists with orientation of new therapists and assistants to department policies, procedures, and physical plant.
• Services provided are age appropriate. Therapists providing services to infants, children, and adolescents will ensure that treatment includes modalities and equipment appropriate to the developmental level of the patient.
• Attends required meetings for the department.
• Meets or exceeds requirements for the given practice settings set forth by appropriate regulatory bodies (Joint Commission, CDPH, CMS, etc.).
