Job Description
Reports to: Director of Student and Special Education Services
Job Goal: The Occupational Therapist, acting as a consultant, will provide informal and formal assessments for children who are referred.
The Occupational Therapist will prepare an individualized program plan based on the information gained in formal and informal assessments.
The Occupational Therapist will provide training for teachers and aides in basic Occupational Therapy techniques, philosophies, and activities. In-service education will be provided for staff to define the role of the consultant and to explain the areas of fine motor and perceptual development and sensory integration.
Terms of Employment: Work days and salary as per collective bargaining agreement.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the Director of Student and Special Education Services.
