Job summary

Bourne Public Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team, providing assessments, program planning, and OT services across multiple Bourne schools. You will train staff and collaborate with therapists and teachers to support student development.

The role requires MA licensure, AOTA registration, and at least six months of hands-on experience, with a focus on fine motor, sensory integration, and adaptive equipment where needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA DESE license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• OT Registration with AOTA.
• Minimum six months of clinical practice.
• Ability to work cooperatively with educational personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal and informal assessments for referred students.
• Develop individualized program plans based on assessment results.
• Train teachers and aides in basic OT techniques and activities.
• Recommend and provide adaptive equipment for independence in daily activities.
• Prepare final assessment reports with outcomes and recommendations.
• Conduct in-service education to staff on OT roles and concepts.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapist, Speech Pathologist, and classroom teachers.
