Banner Health is hiring an Occ Health Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ, working 1:30pm–10:00pm in the Occupational Health Clinic. The role supports clinicians in injury intake, health screenings, drug screening, and immunizations, with patient care and administrative duties throughout the shift.

The MA assists with blood draws, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen handling, ensuring accurate records, scheduling, and compliance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Banner approved medical assistant training program or equivalent
• Active Medical Assistant certification within one year of hire
• Current BLS certification required on hire

Responsabilités

• Prepare patient for exam and document vital signs and chief complaints
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures incl. phlebotomy and EKGs
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling of tests and treatments
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing data
• Maintain clean and sterile environment and handle equipment safely
• Order supplies and monitor inventory in care areas
• Communicate with patients and internal teams to support care delivery
• Participate in onboarding and training activities as directed
