Job summary

BronxCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support Labor and Delivery operations under Nursing Services. You will perform scrub and sterile instrument duties, prepare the operative area, and assist the obstetrical team with obstetric procedures and deliveries.

Completion of a Surgical Technologist Training Program is required, and certification must be obtained within one year of graduation. High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and sterile instrument duties per guidelines.
• Set up sterile instrument table and prepare supplies.
• Assist surgeon with instruments, sutures, and sponges.
• Maintain aseptic technique and report discrepancies.
• Position patient and drape area as required.
• Assist in dressing application and specimen handling.
• Support patient safety and care throughout procedures.
