Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Float Pool in the Family Birthing Center. This full-time position offers day shifts, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, and exposure to Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and Intermediate Care Nursery units.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care using evidence-based practice within established standards and collaborate to ensure patient safety and a positive birth experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• NRP certification.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby and/or SCN.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled RN, coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead clinical decision making and ensure a safe, compassionate patient environment.
