Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Obstetrics Float Pool on the Day shift. The position is full-time and based in our Family Birthing Center with a 24/7 care focus on labor, antepartum, triage, and nursery support.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NRP.
• Previous L&D, Mother Baby and/or SCN experience required.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Full Time Days

Where You Will Work

Our Family Birthing Center has 10 Labor Beds/ 5 Antepartum/ 10 Triage/ 2OB ORs. 24 Mother Baby beds and 16 Intermediate Care Nursery Beds. 150-175 deliveries per month.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP
• Previous L&D, Mother Baby and /or SCN experience required.
