Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Post Partum Unit in Mesa, AZ. You will provide routine patient care, assist with activities of daily living, collect vitals, and help care for mothers and babies in a 24-bed Couplet Care unit.

The role is full-time, day shift (6am–6pm) with weekend rotations and differential shifts. Extensive hospital resources and specialized obstetric care support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
• Collects patient data including vital signs and input/output.
• Communicates patient status to licensed professionals and care team.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by licensed staff.
• Maintains patient records and assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
